In the past few days, Colorado certainly has had its share of crazy Spring weather. And with these rainstorms, comes lightning.
According to the National Weather Service, lightning strikes about 25 million times per year and kills an average of 47 people. Hundreds more are severely injured. So, how can you stay safe during a lightning storm?
First, no place outside is safe when thunderstorms are in the area. And, while you are inside, stay off corded phones, computers, and other electrical equipment that put you in direct contact with electricity. But what else can you do to reduce your risk of injury?
